Camo Shirt Landing Net

Calling all anglers!

This week at Wayward Trading Post, we're excited to introduce a special one-of-a-kind creation: the Camo Shirt Landing Net. This custom fly fishing net started as an experiment with fabric—something I had never tried before. When I met Dave and Neil at the fly fishing show, they handed me some of their shirts, which sparked the idea for this unique project. The result is a handcrafted wooden landing net that captures that perfect country vibe.

The Camo Shirt Landing Net stands out with its blonde wood frame, chosen to let the trout camo pattern fabric shine through as the star of the piece. Crafting the epoxy core presented a serious challenge; I had to ensure the fabric laid perfectly flat to avoid bubbles and prevent any stand-offs in the finish. Every step was deliberate, from selecting the material to achieving the flawless, glossy coat. The process was meticulous, but the final product is truly one-of-a-kind.

There will never be another net quite like this one. So, to all our bidders, good luck! And to everyone else—thank you for appreciating the art behind our handmade landing nets.
