GUARANTEE

We guarantee the woodwork on our nets one year for normal wear and tear. If your net breaks due to the construction, we will rebuild you a new one. Each return will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

RETURN POLICY

We are a small business with limited resources and ask that you do not request exceptions.

Custom Products

Custom nets and boxes with custom wood, epoxy, or engravings cannot be returned unless there is a defect or compromise in the stability.

Non-Customized

Nets and boxes without text/picture engraving or customization can be returned within 30 days, for any reason, as long as there is no damage.

DIY Kit

You have 14 days, from the date of receipt, to inventory materials and make a claim.

Replacement Nets

Replacement nets can be returned within 30 days as long as there is no damage to the net.

WOOD GRAIN VARIETY

The natural characteristics of wood, grain patterns, colors, and textures will vary from one net to another. These variations are a hallmark of handcrafted wooden products and make each piece truly unique. When usable knots are identified, we stabilize them with epoxy to enhance and highlight the natural beauty of the wood grain. As a result, your Wayward Fly Fishing Net may feature these distinctive characteristics, adding to its individuality. While we ensure the highest quality craftsmanship, the appearance of each net may differ slightly from the images shown.

Spalting is a natural coloration process caused by fungi that create striking patterns in the wood. Spalting can manifest in several forms, including:

  • Zone Lines – Thin, dark lines that form intricate, web-like patterns as different fungal colonies interact.

  • Pigment Stains – Areas of rich color, such as greys, blues, greens, or reds, caused by specific fungal species.

  • White Rot – A softening effect that creates a lighter, more porous texture, often giving the wood a distinct contrast.

SHIPPING

Due to the increase of theft and loss, all wooden nets are shipped via UPS with signature required. Be prepared to sign for your order upon delivery if you are not home to receive your delivery, UPS will leave a notice. You may communicate with UPS if you want them to leave the package the next day or pick it up from the local store. I cannot be held liable for packages left unattended.
